Dichlorodifluoro methane for industrial use (R12), molecular formula:CCL2F2, molecular weight: 120.92. Using antimony pentachloride as catalyst, carbon tetrachloride (CCL4) reacts with anhydrous hydrongen fluoride (AHF) to form R12.
Under ambinent temperature, R12 is a colourless, odourless and no corrosion gas. When pressured it becomes a colourless and transparent liquid. F12 is no toxicity and no combustion. R12 has excellent thermic and chemical stability.
